Saratov is planning to create a technopark with 4,000 jobs, said Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of the Russian State Duma elected from the Saratov region.
"In the near future a technopark will be created in Saratov. 4 thousand jobs. The project will be implemented within the framework of public-private partnership with the involvement of one of the largest companies in the field of telecommunications, with the participation of Rostec, well, of course, the Russian Government represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade," said the speaker of the State Duma in a video message on his Instagram page.
It is assumed that the technopark will open on the basis of the Central Research Institute of Measuring Temperature (TsNIIA). In the long term, areas in the field of aeromobility, space and green technologies are to be created here.
According to Volodin, it is very important for Saratov: in the Soviet times the city was oriented towards electronics, radio electronics "and has a huge potential that should be used.
