The number of sureties to small and medium-sized businesses increased by 29%

More than 2 thousand small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) received sureties in the first quarter of this year. Overall, the number of SME sureties by regional guaranteeing organizations increased by 29% during this period, according to the SME Corporation press service.

The amount of sureties for the specified period amounted to about 16 billion rubles, which is 33% more compared to the same period in 2020.

Entrepreneurs working in trade (36%) and agriculture (20%) as well as manufacturing companies (17%) and service providers (13%) most frequently applied for sureties.

Most guarantees were issued in the Russian capital, St. Petersburg, Rostov, Moscow and Novosibirsk regions.

In the first quarter of this year within the framework of the national guarantee system more than 123 billion rubles of consolidated volume of financial support was attracted for development of small and medium business. The growth in this area amounted to 38% compared to the first quarter of last year.
