Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced the introduction of a fourth vaccine against coronavirus infection in the near future. He made such a statement to foreign ambassadors.

As the head of state stressed, Russia is interested in cooperating with foreign counterparts in the fight against the pandemic.

Putin pointed out that the country was able to create within a short period of time three of its own effective drugs against this disease.

Vaccination, he said, is gaining momentum and a fourth COVID-2019 drug will soon be in circulation.

To date, three vaccines against COVID have been registered in Russia. These are Sputnik V, which was developed by scientists from Gamaleya Center, CoviVac (developer is Chumakov Center of Russian Academy of Sciences) and EpiVacCorona from Novosibirsk Vector Center of Rospotrebnadzor.
