Roselektronika Holding (part of state corporation Rostec) presented locomotive DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) radios, which automatically provide seamless digital radio communications and enable data exchange between locomotives, dispatch centers and railway stations.

The company will manufacture about 1.5 thousand units a year and thus will cover the market demand for such equipment.

In case the signal level drops, the digital radio sets enable to automatically switch over from one base station to another, which allows maintaining a stable connection in any section of the train route.

The equipment can be used on any model of locomotives together with the existing communication equipment and can be applied in digital and analog networks.

The devices belong to the new generation of train radio communication equipment, which ensures seamless communication coverage along the entire route. The radios have already been tested at the railways. The serial production is scheduled to start this year.
