In the next 10 years, the government will have to solve the task set by the July presidential decree — to increase exports of non-primary non-energy goods by 70% by 2030 compared to 2020.

One of the points of growth of the NNE may be the export of high-tech goods - machines, appliances, electrical equipment, computers. This is not surprising, because high-tech production helps to develop science and the economy of the country, and adds influence to the state in the international arena. It is technology companies that can become a key driver of economic growth.

The main importing countries of Moscow products are Kazakhstan, the USA, Belarus and China.

The volume of non-primary non-energy exports of Moscow in the first 10 months of this year reached $ 31.2 billion. This made it possible to increase the indicators of the same period last year by 38.5 percent. Information about this is posted on the website mos.ru .

Results of the year and export prospects

Non-primary non-energy exports are supplies of primary crop production (grain, vegetables, fruits), chemicals, fertilizers, processed stone, cast iron and steel, non-ferrous and precious metals. This list also includes mechanical engineering products, pharmaceutical products, finished products of low complexity (flour, cereals, vegetable oils), household chemicals, clothing and shoes. Moscow products are now represented all over the world and exported to 178 countries.

Main importing countries

The main importing countries of the capital's products are Kazakhstan, the USA, Belarus and China, they account for about a quarter of total exports. In addition, Hong Kong, Germany and Turkey are major buyers.

The most popular goods that Hong Kong purchased from Moscow were communication equipment, mechanical equipment and accessories, chips and electronic integrated circuits.

The capital exported $15.55 million worth of pneumatic tires and $6.71 million worth of automotive equipment to Germany.

The bulk of exports to Turkey were polypropylene and polyethylene - they were purchased for $ 95.24 million and $ 15.35 million, respectively, as well as inorganic dyes for a total of $ 18.17 million.

"India also showed a significant volume of imports of Moscow products from Asian countries: in January — October, the volume of deliveries in this direction amounted to 443 million US dollars. In the structure of Moscow's non-primary non-energy exports to this country, more than a third accounted for electronics and electrical engineering, machinery and equipment, as well as vehicles. The largest relative increase was shown by exports of medical and pharmaceutical products, which increased almost fourfold compared to the first 10 months of 2019," said Alexey Fursin, head of the city Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development.

The largest growth compared to the period from January to October 2019 was shown by the chemical industry - an increase of 15.4 percent (up to $ 2.69 billion), pharmaceuticals and cosmetics - 6.6 percent (up to $ 580 million).

The capital mainly sends abroad mechanical equipment and components to it, computers, polypropylene and polyethylene, automotive equipment and communication equipment. If we talk about the structure of exports of the agro-industrial complex, the leading positions here are for chocolate products popular in Asian countries, animal feed, which is sold to CIS countries, and flour or milk-based products and flour confectionery are exported to Mongolia and Vietnam.

In addition, the Moscow Export Center (MEC), subordinate to the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development, provides comprehensive support for the foreign trade activities of the city's enterprises. For example, a company producing broadband receiving and transmitting modules, as well as a manufacturer of vapor detectors, contacted the Moscow Export Center (MEC) for advice. The manufacturer of fire extinguishing systems with the support of the Moscow Export Center (MEC) received an export grant. And 12 more metropolitan companies managed to establish business contacts with businessmen from India during a diversified business mission last year.
