Shcherbinsky Elevator-building Plant has started the production of elevators capable of covering a distance of 2.5 meters per second. The lifts will be used in the construction of buildings, including residential buildings, up to 140 meters high (about 40 floors).

According to Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the capital's Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, in 2021, the production volume of Moscow's elevator-building enterprises amounted to about 15 thousand lifts, which is equivalent to almost half of all elevators produced in Russia.

"Such elevators will be able to lift up to 1.6 thousand kilograms. At the moment, the production capacity of the plant reaches 12 thousand units per year," Ovchinsky said.

Elevators made at the factory are used in all regions of Russia. Its products are focused both on government orders and on the needs of private real estate developers of various purposes.
